Academy schoolboy Paul Murphy has been called into the Republic of Ireland U16 squad for two friendlies in Croatia next month.

The Irish youngsters take on the Croats in Crikvenica on Tuesday, 5th September and again at the same venue two days later.

Murphy, 15, plays in midfield or up front and was previously with Home Farm where Owen Garvan's father is a coach. Garvan junior, Shane Supple, Alan Lee and Michael Synnott all played for the famous Dublin club during their formative years.
