Town will pass the 3,000 mark for home goals as a professional club if they net twice against West Brom on Saturday.

The Blues reached the 1,000 milestone in April 1962 when Ray Crawford netted the second goal in a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa. A goal also notable as it clinched Town the League Championship for the first and so far only time.

Paul Mariner notched the 2,000th goal when scoring the third in a 3-2 League Cup win over QPR in November 1983, John Wark having grabbed the previous two.

Town's 2,998 professional home goals up to now are distributed across the various competitions in they have taken part like this:
