Boss Jim Magilton is waiting on Jason De Vos's fitness before deciding on his side for Tuesday's game at Plymouth. The Canadian picked up a dead leg in the 5-0 victory over Luton but is expected to be OK to face the Mariners.

Other than De Vos and the squad's longer-term absentees, Magilton has no new injury worries to concern him and will gauge the fitness levels of the rest of his squad before deciding on his side for Town's second game in three days: “I will assess the rest of the team during some light training on Monday and we will then train on Tuesday before flying down to the south-west.

“The Luton win was another stepping stone, and we hope to continue our move up the table at Plymouth.”

Lewis Price (broken rib), Owen Garvan (virus) and Gavin Williams (groin surgery) remain on the sidelines, but Magilton is able to welcome back Mark Noble after his one-match suspension.

Price's absence will see Shane Supple continue in goal with short-term signing Jaroslav Drobný once again on the bench.

If De Vos is fit, the backline is likely to be the same with Richard Naylor standing by in case the club captain doesn't make it.

In midfield, Magilton may choose to stick with the four who so outplayed Luton or could recall Noble for Walton with the loanee from Charlton perhaps taking over from Sylvain Legwinski later on in the game.

Up front, the Town boss will have to decide whether Billy Clarke is up to two starts in three days. If not, recent loan signing Gary Roberts could be handed his first start in the role he filled in place of Clarke in the closing stages on Sunday. Alan Lee will want to continue his fine goalscoring run which currently stands at eight goals in his last seven Town games.

Darren Currie, scorer of two goals in this fixture two years ago, is likely to be amongst the substitutes against one of his former clubs.

Plymouth fans have declared Tuesday Holloween in honour of manager Ian Holloway and it being October 31st.

Holloway is looking for his side to add to Saturday's 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace: "We have got Ipswich on Tuesday, so let's see what we can do. See if we can get another three points.

"Consistency is the key and the players are proving that they can be consistent, I am delighted with them.

"Hopefully we will get a decent crowd in, hopefully the word is spreading because we want to entertain and get results - I think we are doing that."

Holloway also says that Town's match with Luton shouldn't have gone ahead after Hatters' defender Sol Davis suffered a stroke on the coach travelling to the game on Saturday: "I don't think Luton should have played the game, to be perfectly honest.

"Some things are far more important than football and to ask their players to witness whatever it was they had to witness on the coach and then play the game is not right. For me, that is not what football is all about. They are only young boys. Who wants to see that?

"Everybody in football wants Sol to make a great recovery and we are all thinking about that. There is no way that game should have gone ahead, in my opinion."

Plymouth are likely to be without defender Hasney Aljofree who is on compassionate leave after the recent death of a close friend.

Holloway will have to decide whether to stick with striker Nick Chadwick, who scored the winner in Saturday's game at Palace, or recall Barry Hayles after a one-match ban.

Midfielder Lee Hodges, not the player of the same name who was on loan with the Blues from West Ham a few years back, could be back in contention after a medial knee ligament injury.

Tuesday's referee is Kevin Friend from Leicestershire who has shown 32 yellow cards and one red in 10 games this season. Friend's last Town game was the 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace in March in which he red-carded then loanee Ricardo Fuller for making an improper gesture to a linesman.
