Surgery for Bowditch? Wednesday, 20th Dec 2006 09:54 On-loan striker Dean Bowditch says he may need surgery on the groin injury which recently interrupted his spell at Brighton. The striker made his first start for the Seagulls at Oldham on Saturday, playiing 66 minutes of a 1-1 draw. Bowditch suffered the problem last month and returned to Town for treatment, but says surgery may ultimately be required: "At first I thought it was just a tight groin and that a stretching out routine would help it. Unfortunately, it was something a bit more serious than that. "At the moment I'm playing by resting it for a couple of days. I've got to go and see someone about it and whether I need an operation is down to someone else. "I've got to just keep plugging away and hopefully it will clear up. If it doesn't then I have got to sort it out."
