Reports say George Burley watched Belgian target Tom Soetaers play for his Dutch club Roda JC on Saturday. The 20-year-old is one of a number of players George watched last week during an intensive scouting mission to the continent.

Dutch sources are confirming that Burley and Romeo Zondervan watched Roda draw 0-0 with Heerenveen. Soetaers was said to have a quiet game in an unfamiliar forward role (he normally plays wide on the left), but apparently there were one or two good touches from the £2 million rated player.

He looks like he is one for the future more than one to slip straight into the side and is very highly rated in the Belgium and Holland nations.
