Moore Off to Falkirk?

TWTD understands that midfielder Sammy Moore's loan move to Falkirk may be back on. The Bairns initially targeted the 19-year-old along with striker Darryl Knights at the end of last year.

Moore originally turned down the chance to join the SPL club after being named in a number of Town first team squads. But with Gavin Williams and Owen Garvan back in the picture after injury and illness, and George O'Callaghan signing last week, the FA Youth Cup winner's chances at Portman Road look likely to be limited in the short-term.

Knights's move to Falkirk appears to have broken down after the clubs failed to agree a fee. The 18-year-old impressed in a trial spell at the end of last year and looked set to join the Bairns as a replacement for Anthony Stokes when the loanee from Arsenal moved on to Sunderland.

Ipswich-born Knights is currently on trial with League One side Leyton Orient and appeared for their reserves in a friendly against Brentford on Tuesday.

TWTD has learnt that the Blues fielded another trialist in last week's behind-closed-doors friendly with Millwall, in addition to two-goal striker Vinny Faherty and Woodbridge frontman Joe Francis, who also netted against the Lions.

Cypriot U21 international midfielder Athos Solomou was also in the side which won 3-1, however, the 21-year-old Apollon Limassol player failed to impress.

Meanwhile, ex-Town striker Neil Midgley has re-signed for Nationwide Conference South club Cambridge City after a spell in the Nationwide Conference North with Kettering, having been on loan at Milton Road earlier in the season.
