Currie Back to Brighton?
Currie Back to Brighton?
Monday, 29th Jan 2007 10:11

TWTD has learnt that midfielder Darren Currie could return to Brighton and Hove Albion before the transfer window's closure on Wednesday. The 32-year-old is out of contract in the summer and looks set to leave the Blues with a number of clubs interested.

The winger was close to joining former loan club Coventry permanently until manager Micky Adams was sacked. Currie said on Friday that he was aware of other Championship clubs interested in him.

League One Millwall are also keen, but the former Barnet and Wycombe man would prefer to stay in the Championship if possible.

The Blues had put a £70,000 price tag on Currie, however, it's unlikely that League One sides like Brighton and Millwall would pay anything in the way of a fee for the man who joined Town from the Seagulls for £250,000 in December 2004.
