Town have taken an initial allocation of 2,260 tickets for the FA Cup fifth round tie at Watford, significantly below the 15% of the ground they could request. However, the Blues intend to ask for more seats if the initial batch sells out.

The Hornets' Vicarage Road has a capacity of 19,920 and Town could demand up to 2,988 seats under FA Cup rules. However, the club's ticket office manager John Ford told TWTD that not all those tickets are on offer on a sale or return basis: “We could have taken the whole allocation, but we would have had to pay for all of them regardless of whether we sold them.

“Having looked at our last three visits to Watford, when we took 1,691, 2,481 and 1,538 fans, and the general level of away support this season, just under 900, even allowing for a few extra away travellers, I think this will be enough.

“We will continue to talk to Watford regarding more tickets as we see the demand rise, but we have taken their current limit for sale or return.”

The tie has been scheduled for Saturday, 17th February. Away match passport holders will receive their tickets in the post during the week commencing 5th February.

Gold Card holders are currently entitled to buy their tickets for Town's first FA Cup fifth round tie in 11 years. From Wednesday, 7th February season ticket holders can secure theirs and from Friday, 9th February Silver Club members are permitted to buy seats. Any remaining tickets go on general sale from Monday, 12th February.

Tickets will cost £20 for adults, £10 for concessions (over-65s, students and 16-to-19-year-olds) and £5 for under-16s.
