Town boss Jim Magilton has four players back in consideration for the visit of Wolves on Tuesday evening (KO 7.45pm). Owen Garvan and Alan Lee return from suspensions, while Jason De Vos should be back from injury and Jon Walters is available having been cup-tied for the Watford match.

Magilton will hear whether George O'Callaghan's red card is rescinded after the Tuesday lunchtime hearing. The former Cork City player put in a bright performance at Vicarage Road until his afternoon was cut short by Steve Bennett's red card. If the appeal is unsuccessful O'Callaghan will miss three games starting with the Wolves match.

The Town manager must decide whether to stick with the five-man midfield which did so well against Watford or move back to a four. Matt Richards looks likely to keep his place after his superb display against the Hornets, probably alongside Sylvain Legwinski, with Gary Roberts starting on the left and Jaime Peters, who was helped off the field by referee Bennett with cramp at Vicarage Road, on the right.

O'Callaghan, if available, will be vying for the fifth midfield place if there is one, along with Owen Garvan, back after his one-game ban.

Defensively, Chris Casement is likely to make way for Jason De Vos if the Town skipper is over his cracked metatarsal, despite the Northern Ireland U21 international impressing against the Hornets.

Richard Naylor still has a bruised toe and Fabian Wilnis has a hamstring injury and neither are in the squad, so Alex Bruce will continue alongside the Canadian skipper. Dan Harding and David Wright will take up their regular full-back roles.

Up front, Magilton has a comparative embarrassment of riches with Alan Lee and Jon Walters returning. Danny Haynes was impressive at Watford and could keep his place, while the former Chester man might keep Lee out of the side. The Irishman has been suffering with a hamstring problem of late and the Blues may prefer to rest him for a further game now that other options are available.

Wolves have an injury concern over winger Michael Kightly, but the former Grays Athletic man is hopeful that he will be over a hip problem in time to face the Blues.

Jody Craddock is also back in contention after missing out with tendinitis recently, while Gary Breen has completed a suspension. Jemal Johnson has joined Leeds on a one-month loan.

Tuesday's referee is Scott Mathieson from Cheshire who has shown 63 yellow and three red cards so far this season. Mathieson's last Town game was the 3-2 defeat at Sunderland in September 2003.
