No Williams Against QPR Thursday, 1st Mar 2007 12:52 Midfielder Gavin Williams will not be fit for Saturday's home game with QPR but should be back for Tuesday's trip to Hull City. Defenders Richard Naylor and Fabian Wilnis are expected to be back in contention for the visit of the Londoners. Boss Jim Magilton says Williams is making good progress after undergoing a course of injections for a pelvic injury: “Gavin is making great strides, but this Saturday will be too early for him. “We need Gavin fit. He is a vital member of our squad and has the ability to make things happen. He carries the ball and goes at the heart of defences. “I want him fit, and hopefully he will be available for selection against Hull.” Wilnis has been out of action with a hamstring problem, while Naylor has been suffering with a badly bruised toe. Danny Haynes limped off in the first half of Tuesday's behind-closed-doors reserve game against Colchester but is not reported to be a doubt for Saturday.
