Jeffers Added to Squad
Jeffers Added to Squad

New loan signing Franny Jeffers has been added to the squad for Saturday's game with QPR after the paperwork was cleared in time for him to face John Gregory's men. Jeffers is likely to start alongside Alan Lee.

Boss Jim Magilton told the club site that the one-month acquisition of the former England striker is a major achievement for the Blues: "It's a real coup for us, bringing Franny to the club.

"He has Premiership pedigree and has played at the very highest level with England, so it's an exciting signing for us.

"He has played for some of the top clubs in the country and has cost over £10 million in transfer fees, so that tells you something about the player.

"He has not played as many games as he would have liked at Blackburn this season, so he is coming here to do that - play games.

"Having him here will also step up the competition among the other front players at the club, so I'm looking for a response from them.

"The paperwork has been completed now and Franny has been added to the squad for the weekend."

Revised squad: Bruce, Casement, Clarke, De Vos, Garvan, Jeffers, Harding, Haynes, Lee, Legwinski, O'Callaghan, Peters, Price, Richards, Roberts, Sito, Supple, Walters, Wright.
