Town Have Two Doubts
Town Have Two Doubts

Town have injury doubts concerning keeper Lewis Price and midfielder Owen Garvan ahead of Sunday's East Anglian derby with Norwich City at Carrow Road. Price missed Saturday's 2-1 victory over Derby County with a foot injury, while Garvan was forced off at half-time in the Rams game with a thigh problem and has not trained this week.

Boss Jim Magilton told the club site that the duo will be assessed the day before the match: "They are both keen to be involved, but we will have a look at the two of them on Saturday and make a decision from there."

Shane Supple replaced Price on Saturday, while George O'Callaghan took over from Garvan after the break and is again likely to join Gavin Williams in the centre of the midfield if the youngster misses out.

Town are already without skipper Jason De Vos, who underwent foot surgery earlier in the week, Richard Naylor, bone bruising to a toe, and Sylvain Legwinski, who has a broken metatarsal.

Dutchman Fabian Wilnis, who correctly predicted Norwich's 2004/05 relegation from the Premiership, is likely to be Town's stand-in captain at Carrow Road, where he scored the Blues' opening goal in the March 2003 2-0 victory over the Canaries.

Alex Bruce is available for selection after the red card he received against Derby was rescinded by the FA on Tuesday.
