Town keeper Lewis Price wasn't involved as Wales drew 2-2 with New Zealand at Wrexham on Saturday afternoon, while Alex Bruce was left out of the Republic of Ireland team which drew 1-1 with Bolivia in Boston.

Welsh boss John Toshack named Danny Coyne in his starting line-up and handed Wolves youngster Wayne Hennessey his debut as a half-time sub, leaving Price and Blackburn keeper Jason Brown on the sidelines.

Wales face the Czech Republic in a Euro 2008 qualifier and Price looks unlikely to win his fourth cap and now appears to be some way from Toshack's first choice.

Bruce was also amongst the spectators as Steve Staunton gave many of the players who had missed out on Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Ecuador in new York a run-out. The Bolivia game completes the Irish side's US tour.

Meanwhile, as expected, former Town striker Darren Bent was left out of the England squad for next month's friendly with Brazil and the Euro 2008 qualifier with Estonia. The Charlton striker is currently away on holiday and is spending the summer working on the knee injuries which disrupted his season.

The Blues now look almost certain to miss out on the £200,000 payments due from the Addicks after Bent's first and second competitive England games, with the £15 million-rated striker expected to leave the Valley over the summer.
