German club TSV 1860 Munich have announced a pre-season friendly with Town on Wednesday, 18th July (KO 6.30pm).

The Bundesliga 2 side's website says the game will take place at Bad Reichenhall, presumably at the home of Kreisliga 2 (ninth tier) side TSV Bad Reichenhall, although they state that their list of pre-season fixtures may be subject to change.

Town have already scheduled friendlies with Burton Albion (July 10th), Kettering Town (July 12th) and Bury Town (July 27th), while matches against Chelmsford City, Rushden and Diamonds and Oxford United are under discussion.

A proposed home game with Spurs fell through due to a clash with the Premiership side's tour of South Africa. The Blues were also reported to be in talks regarding a tournament in Graz, Austria, but these matches and the opposition are yet to be confirmed.

Town manager Jim Magilton is keen for his side to be better prepared for the 2007/08 Championship season than they were a year ago and has revitalised the pre-season programme. The players are due back at Playford Road on June 12th, earlier than ever before, and the squad will play more friendlies than in previous years.
