Striker Jordan Rhodes has signed a two-year professional deal with the Blues. Rhodes, son of keeper coach Andy, joined the Town academy as a schoolboy, the Blues paying Barnsley £5,000 for his services.

Rhodes junior told the club site: "This is what I have dreamed about since I was a young boy kicking a ball around - signing for a professional football club.

"This is what all the hard work has been about, getting my chance here, but I know there is a lot more hard work ahead of me.

"I'm learning all the time though and my target is definitely to try and break into the first team squad this season."

Rhodes was included in the senior squad for last season's home game with Plymouth but was not named in the final 16.
