Striker Billy Clarke won his third Republic of Ireland U21 cap as his side drew a friendly 2-2 in Germany on Tuesday evening.

The Town frontman played the first 70 minutes, forcing a number of saves from the German keeper and was involved in the second Irish goal.

Academy defender Tommy Smith remained on the bench throughout England's 5-0 victory over New Zealand at the FIFA U17 World Cup. Smith was one of a number of players rested ahead of Friday's game against Brazil.
