Chief executive Derek Bowden says George O'Callaghan's move to Brighton could still happen, despite the midfielder failing to agree terms with the League One side at a meeting last night.

Bowden told the club site that he expects further discussions before Friday's deadline: "We have accepted an offer from Brighton for George [believed to be £60,000 plus £15,000 on appearances] and he and his representative have had discussions with Brighton but no agreement has been reached so far.

"It's possible both parties will talk again before the transfer window closes."

QPR, Colchester, Plymouth and Scunthorpe have also all been linked, while the Blues and Sheffield Wednesday have both denied Owls interest in the former Cork City player.
