Town's victory over Wolves on Saturday extended their home win streak to 10 matches, however, Jim Magilton's men still have a little way to go before claiming a club record.

Back in 1956/57, as Sir Alf Ramsey was taking the Blues to the Third Division (South) title, his side managed a 14-game home league victory streak, starting with a defeat of Coventry in September and ending when Northampton won 1-0 at Portman Road six months later.

1956/57 14-Match Home League Win Streak

19/09/1956 Coventry City 4-0
22/09/1956 Brentford 4-0
06/10/1956 Colchester United 3-1
20/10/1956 Reading 4-2
03/11/1956 QPR 4-0
01/12/1956 Exeter City 3-0
15/12/1956 Torquay United 6-0
26/12/1956 Watford 4-1
29/12/1956 Brighton 4-0
19/01/1957 Swindon Town 4-1
26/01/1957 Shrewsbury Town 5-1
09/02/1957 Aldershot 4-1
23/02/1957 Newport County 5-0
09/03/1957 Southampton 2-0

The Blues have also managed two home league victory runs of 11 games, in 1987/88 and in the 1961/62 League Championship winning season.

Town's longest home win streak in all competitions came in the UEFA Cup-winning 1980/81 season and lasted for 15 matches.

That run was ended by a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal. Town's current 10-game run is already the joint-second best all-competitions home win streak, along with a run from the 1956/57 season, which was broken by a defeat to Fulham in the third round of the FA Cup.
