Crawley Town boss Steve Evans says central defender Jamie Stevens will not be joining the Blues. Stevens, 18, spent four days on trial with Town earlier this week.

Evans said: “They were keen to do something but part of that was that he would come back to us on loan.

"He did not want to do that. If he was going to leave here he wanted to do it properly and further his career, which is understandable.

"We had a couple of other clubs who came fractions within meeting our valuation but we turned them down."

Meanwhile, former Blue Darryl Knights has joined Kidderminster Harriers on loan until the end of the season from Yeovil Town. Knights spent time with another Blue Square Premier side, Cambridge United, earlier in the season.
