Webber Linked With Blues and Palace

Sheffield United striker Danny Webber is on Jim Magilton's loan wish-list, according to one of this morning's tabloids. Reports elsewhere are linking Webber with a reunion with former Blades manager Neil Warnock at Crystal Palace.
Webber, 26, has been out with a knee injury and the Blues are claimed to be ready to move for the one-time Manchester United trainee once he proves his fitness.
Earlier in the week, Warnock confirmed his interest in the player he took to Bramall Lane from Watford for £500,000 in 2005 and the Eagles look favourites for his signature: "We have enquired about him over the last few days.
"We haven't spoken to the player at all but we did make enquiries to the club - but it is very, very early days."
Webber started his career at Old Trafford and had spells at Port Vale and with Watford before making his move to the Hornets permanent in 2003 for a nominal fee.
