Jim: It's Down to the Players
Jim: It's Down to the Players

Boss Jim Magilton has told his players it's up to them to win a play-off place after the Blues failed to add to their squad before today's 5pm emergency loan deadline.

Magilton told the club site: "With Jon Walters and Bam Bam out and Pablo suspended, we have looked at adding another experienced player to the squad for the rest of the season.

"We made several enquiries to Premier League clubs about players but there is a general reluctance from clubs to let players go - and from players to leave as well.

"The deadline has gone now and we move on. It's now down to the players here to finish the job they started and I have every confidence in them achieving that.

"My players have been fantastic this year. Every time a challenge has been thrown at them they have taken it on. Now the biggest challenge for them is there - to finish in the top six and see where it takes us.

"We are in a terrific position and now we have seven massive games coming up, seven games we are all relishing."
