Academy striker Craig Calver has left the club by mutual consent. The frontman has failed to make an impact on the U18 side this season and has already had a spell out on loan with Cambridge United's youth set-up.

Tony Humes, Town's academy manager, told the club site: "Craig has not progressed as much as he would have liked here and has decided he would like to try his luck elsewhere. We wish him all the best in the future."

Meanwhile, former academy striker Charlie Sheringham has joined Cambridge City having been released by Crystal Palace earlier in the season.
