Town, West Bromwich Albion, Bolton Wanderers and Leicester City are all keen on signing Plymouth Argyle defender Marcel Seip in the summer, according to reports in the Dutch press.

The 26-year-old centre-half was recently slapped on the transfer list and fined two weeks' wages for refusing to take a place on the Argyle bench for their game with Charlton. He has subsequently undergone a hernia operation and looks unlikely to play for the Pilgrims again.

Seip, 6ft tall, started his career with BV Veendam where he spent two years in their first team before moving on to Heerenveen in 2001. In 2006 his contract expired and he joined Plymouth on an initial three-month deal. After impressing, the Winschoten-born player signed a contract until June 2009.

Primarily a centre-half, although also known to play at right-back, Seip has made 77 starts for Argyle plus three sub appearances, scoring three goals.
