Midfielder Owen Garvan will not make a decision on whether to sign his new two-year deal until the end of the season. The Blues recently offered the Irishman a new contract aimed at keeping him at Portman Road until 2011.

Garvan said: "It is very nice that the club have offered me a new two-year deal, but all I'm concentrating on right now is these three massive games.

"All Championship players are desperate to play in the Premiership and hope one day you can get into the Premier League.”

A number of Premier League club have been linked with the 20-year-old in recent months, but not yet Liverpool, the club he supported as a boy.

Elsewhere, former Town U18 captain Liam Craig, a team-mate of Garvan's in the squad which won the FA Youth Cup in 2005, has signed a three-year deal with loan club St Johnstone after 18 months with Falkirk.
