Dyer Windfall for Town

Town could be getting even more cash as speculation grows that Kieron Dyer may move from Newcastle in the summer. The deal which took Dyer to the North-East in July 1999 for £6.5 million included Town getting a percentage of the profit if Newcastle sold him.

Dyer's agent Jonathan Barnett is believed to be talking to both Manchester United and Leeds with the latter already thought to have offered £11 million for the Ipswich-born player, although it is thought Newcastle would want a lot more than that.

Wherever he goes Town will certainly pocket a few quid from the player they brought through the ranks.
