Koumas Linked Again
Koumas Linked Again
Friday, 20th Apr 2001 10:49

Tranmere's Jason Koumas is once again being linked with a move to Town. Throughout the season Koumas has been one of a number of names mentioned in connection with Town and the latest report suggests that Town may offer £3 million for the midfielder in the summer.

Koumas was one of the stars of Tranmere's Cup run and scored a cracker against Everton in Rovers' famous victory over their Merseyside rivals.

Other clubs are interested with Fulham and Crystal Palace names mentioned recently, but with a whole host of others linked in the past.

Town have also been linked again with Bobby Zamora, the Brighton goal machine who has shot the Seagulls to promotion this season. Brighton are in no hurry to sell Zamora who has also been linked with Town all season.

Yesterday's link with Eidur Gudjohnsen does seem to have some reality to it with the story apparently quite an old one in Iceland. Gudjohnsen is not at all happy at the number of games he has started at Chelsea and he wants first team football. Town seem to have shown an interest earlier in the season but could make another move in the summer.
