Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that he is still looking for additions to his squad despite signing Kevin Lisbie and Richard Wright in the last few days. The duo trained with their new team-mates for the first time this morning.

Magilton said: "We are very happy to get these two excellent players in this week and they will improve our squad a great deal, but I am still looking to bring in further additions.”

The moves for Rudi Skácel and Angelos Charisteas both appear to have stalled in recent weeks with the Czech's move still appearing the most likely to happen. Town continue to be linked with Crewe's Nicky Maynard despite Lisbie's signing, while Honduran international Emilio Izaguirre is reported to have arrived for his trial.

Returning keeper Wright has conceded that he perhaps rushed into his move to West Ham last summer, when he had been expected to join the Blues: "Perhaps I ran out of patience as things were not moving very quickly, with Ipswich then in a different position to what they are now.

"Ever since Jim Magilton rang me to say he wanted me to sign - and it took me two seconds to agree - I have been telling any other interested clubs that Ipswich was for me.

"But it has taken time and I have to thank Jim, the club's owner and all the staff for this time showing patience and waiting for me to be able to sign on the dotted line.”

Wright, still only 30, has set his sights on adding to his two full England caps and getting the Blues back into the Premier League.
