Town boss Jim Magilton says he will not be looking to sign Czech trialist Roman Hubnik. The 24-year-old played in last night's game at Gillingham but failed to impress the Blues manager.

Magilton said: "He is behind us fitness-wise and looked more comfortable when he switched to right-back. But I don't think I am going to pursue things.”

The Town boss was much more impressed with Dutch signing Pim Balkestein playing in a Hermann Hreidarsson-esque left-back role: "Pim has given me plenty to think about and he showed that he can handle the left-back position.

"He is determined to make a success of his career and if he does not make the grade, it will be our fault.”

Magilton was also impressed with striker Pablo Couñago and young defender Tommy Smith.

Overall, Magilton felt his side were below par in the first half but better after the break: "The game was too open in the first half and we were disjointed. But we controlled proceedings after the break and overall a draw was about right.”
