Jim Pleased With Performance Saturday, 26th Jul 2008 18:43 Boss Jim Magilton was generally pleased with his side's display as they defeated West Brom 2-1 at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon. Magilton told the club site: "Obviously the result is important but at this stage of pre-season, it's all about getting the miles into the players. "I was delighted with the application and attitude of the players. It was first class and the game is a stepping stone to August 9th and Preston.†Magilton admitted his side may have been fortunate to have been awarded a penalty after clearance struck Jonathan Greening on the hand, while West Brom claimed Carl Hoefkens was fouled in the run-up to Kevin Lisbie's late winner: "We probably had the better of two refereeing decisions, but we passed the ball well against a Premier League team. "Tommy Smith will be all the better for 90 minutes against that class opposition and we have come through the game with no injuries, I think."
