Richard Wright came through a morning training session yesterday without any problems with his back. Wright missed last week's game against Coventry after feeling back pain in the warm-up.

Keith Branagan took his place and had a good game keeping a clean sheet and making at least one excellent save, which was pretty much all that was required against Coventry.

Wright is likely to return at the Valley on Monday, although George Burley has said he won't push him into playing if he is still suffering with his injury.

Town have announced that their European break in May will see the players go to Majorca. The four-day trip replaces the proposed US jaunt to North Carolina to play the Charleston Battery. This was cancelled earlier in the week after concerns about jet lag from Town's medical staff.

The trip will be between the Manchester City game on May 7th and the Derby game on May 19th.

Marcus Stewart has won another award. After picking up the Town Players' Player of the Year Award last weekend he has also received the Boxholders' Player of the Year. The big one is up on Sunday when Stewart attends a dinner in London where the PFA Player of the Year is announced.

Stewart is up against Thierry Henry, Teddy Sheringham, Roy Keane, Emile Heskey and Ryan Giggs. John Wark won the award in 1981 and was the last Town player to be nominated. The Town striker has already won a public poll of the nominated six on a website as well as being the favourite to win Town Supporters' awards.

Jermaine Wright won the most improved player award and received the John Kerridge Memorial Shield. This is judged by George Burley and his staff and was won last season by Wayne Brown.
