No Loan for Haynes
No Loan for Haynes

Boss Jim Magilton has denied a recent report which claimed the Blues would be willing to allow Danny Haynes to go out on loan. Haynes has been left out of Town's 16 on a number of occasions recently.

Magilton said: "I feel that he is going to make more of an impact at our club than anywhere else.

"We can only have five on the bench and at the moment Danny is up and down with regard to performances.

"We still feel that he is going to make a massive impact on the season, it's just a case of once he gets in he has to ensure that he stays there."

Magilton also says that the Blues could look to offer a new deal to central defender Alex Bruce or alternatively that the 23-year-old may move on in the transfer window: "He's played more for me than any other manager, including his father, and knows what I think of him.

"If we can thrash out a deal then wonderful because he is very much part of our squad, if not then obviously we may look to do something in January."

Last week chief executive Derek Bowden confirmed that no deal had yet been offered to the Republic of Ireland international and that no talks were ongoing with his agent. Bruce's current terms are up next summer.
