U18s Claim Draw at Pompey

Town's U18s were involved in a pulsating 3-3 draw at Portsmouth on Saturday morning. Paul Murphy and Ronan Murray again netted for the Blues with the third an own goal from Pompey keeper Liam O'Brien.

The Town youngsters went behind to an Ellis Martin goal 10 minutes before the break, but Murphy, who starts a three-match ban for his recent red card next week, netted from the spot soon after, Murray having been fouled inside the area.

The Irish striker, called into his country's U18 squad last week, put Town in front after the break from a Reggie Lambe cross, but on the hour Pablo Navas-Alors equalised for the home side.

Tom Kilbey put Pompey back in front, but Town claimed a share of the points after keeper O'Brien flapped a Seb Dunbar cross into his own net. Town's U16s beat the same opposition 1-0.
