FA Fine and Warn Norris Thursday, 27th Nov 2008 16:04 Town midfielder David Norris was fined £5,000 and warned about his future conduct at today's FA hearing into the charge of improper conduct relating to his goal celebration at Blackpool. The fine will be paid to charity. The FA Regulatory Commission said in a statement: "This was an act of immense naivety by Mr Norris who should have considered the possible implications of his actions. "However, we have also considered the subsequent actions by Mr Norris in not only writing to Mr and Mrs Peak but by personally meeting the family to apologise for his behaviour. "The Commission accepts the explanation of his gesture and that the remorse shown by Mr Norris to be genuine during this very sad time for Mr and Mrs Peak, who were also very gracious in accepting the apology from Mr Norris." Norris has already been fined two weeks' wages by Town, a figure thought to be in the region of £25,000, which was also paid to charity.
