Town have sold their allocation of more than 6,000 tickets for Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie at Chelsea. Seats went on sale to season ticket holders at 9am this morning and were quickly snapped up, with fans queuing at Portman Road from 6.30am.

John Ford, the club's ticket office and call centre manager, told the club site: "It's been a very busy morning and the last of the tickets for the Chelsea game have now gone.

"We had around 2,500 tickets available this morning and they were snapped up in the first three hours of trading, with the majority going to the supporters queuing up at Planet Blue.

"Obviously, there will be fans who have missed out on tickets, but we have 15,000 season ticket holders and only 6,000 tickets for the game, so there were always going to be people who were disappointed."
