Naylor Considering Permanent Leeds Move
Naylor Considering Permanent Leeds Move
Thursday, 29th Jan 2009 16:02

On-loan club captain Richard Naylor is not ruling out joining Leeds United on a permanent basis. Naylor is spending a month with the Whites and has made an impressive start to his spell.

The 31-year-old has found himself skippering the club he supports and scored his first goal in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Southend.

Naylor said: "I'm still an Ipswich player at the moment and although the gaffer at Ipswich said I could come here for a month, he didn't say I could leave permanently.

"It's up to the two managers to sort it out, and it's out of my hands until that happens. But I want to play football and I'm really enjoying myself here.

"It is something I'd be interested in but it is a bit difficult because I've got three young children down in Ipswich. I don't want to live away from them, but if there was a situation where I was moving the family up here with me, then that would be different. That's definitely something I'd look at."

Meanwhile, the new bridge over the River Orwell has been named in honour of Sir Bobby Robson. The Sir Bobby Robson Bridge connects a new housing estate with West End Road, not far from Portman Road.
