Rhodes and Brentford Stay Top
Rhodes and Brentford Stay Top
Saturday, 14th Feb 2009 19:32

Jordan Rhodes got another 89 minutes of first team football under his belt but failed to score as his loan club Brentford beat Port Vale 2-0 at Griffin Park to stay top of League Two.

Elsewhere, Billy Clarke and Northampton lost 2-1 at Oldham with the Irish U21 international without a goal since his debut hat-trick for the Cobblers.

Chris Casement played 66 minutes of Wycombe's 1-0 defeat at Bradford, while Jaime Peters was an unused sub as Gillingham lost at Rotherham.

Jai Reason is still to make his Cambridge debut after their game against Mansfield Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and Kurt Robinson and Rushden's match at Lewes was postponed due to a frozen pitch, while Dan Harding and Reading were not in action today.
