Jordan Rhodes's Brentford won their fourth successive game on Tuesday evening to stay top of League Two. On-loan striker Rhodes sent in the cross which led to Charlie MacDonald's winning goal as the Bees defeated Grimsby 1-0 at Blundell Park.

Elsewhere, Chris Casement was in the Wycombe side which kept up their promotion challenge with a 2-0 home win against Chester.

Liam Trotter was an unused sub for Scunthorpe as the Iron drew 1-1 at home to Walsall, while Dan Harding was again left out of the Reading 16 as the Royals won 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.

Kurt Robinson and Rushden's game at Salisbury was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Yesterday, Jai Reason was in the Cambridge United side which drew 1-1 at Histon in the big Cambridgeshire derby.
