Surprise derby star Jaime Peters was delighted to return to the Town first team again as he helped the Blues to a 3-2 victory over Norwich City on Sunday. Peters came on as a substitute in an unfamiliar left-back role after Ben Thatcher was injured.

Peters told the club site: "It was great to be involved again and I was pleased with the way things went.

"It was the first time I played at left-back in a league game. The gaffer told me to go on and do my best and I think I did OK.

"Going on before half-time helped because it gave me a chance to get up with the pace of the game and I had a couple of runs down the wing which helped me settle into the match.

"I'd prefer to play on the wing, but I'm happy to play wherever I'm asked. Now I just hope I get a chance to play in the last two games of the season.

"I've not been involved much this year and when you are not playing you do worry about your future, but I've kept working hard and it's down to me to take my chance when it comes along."

Peters, who has another year left on his Town contract, has spent time on loan at Gillingham this season, having been with Yeovil on a similar basis a year ago.
