Town's reserves romped to an 8-0 final game of the season victory at Stevenage Borough on Wednesday afternoon. Connor Wickham netted a hat-trick, Tom Eastman two and Dean Bowditch, Ed Upson and Ronan Murray one each.

Wickham put the Blues in front on 10 with Upson increasing the lead with a shot from the edge of the area, probably the pick of the goals, eight minutes later.

Wickham added the third and fourth before the break, then Bowditch scored the fifth on 48 and Eastman the sixth two minutes later.

Ronan Murray got his name on the scoresheet in the 64th minute with Eastman adding his second of the match with six minutes remaining.

Chris Kiwomya's men, watched by first team coach Tony Loughlan, chief scout Steve McCall and head of football development Bryan Klug, dominated a game played between two very young sides and probably should have scored even more goals with Wickham hitting the woodwork. Stevenage didn't even manage a shot until the 75th minute.

Hat-trick hero Wickham, Dean Bowditch and Ed Upson, both possibly playing their final games in Town shirts, were the Blues top performers as the reserves ended their season in fourth place in the Football Combination East Division.

Reserves: McLoughlin, Clemo, Ainsley, Eastman, Dunbar, Lambe, Upson, Cawley, Griffiths (Hyam 52), Bowditch (Murray 61), Wickham.
