Town have announced that the Carling Cup first round tie at Shrewsbury will still be played on Tuesday 11th August despite the Coventry game moving to the prior Sunday and the Blues probably being without some of their international players that week.

Roy Keane's men now take on the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday 9th August with a 12.45pm start as the match is being shown live by Sky.

The week of the Carling Cup is one designated for international fixtures and the likes of Gareth McAuley, Veliche Shumulikoski, Owen Garvan and Alex Bruce could be called into their national squads.
