Rosenior Looking For Premier Return Thursday, 3rd Sep 2009 14:55
New loan signing Liam Rosenior is aiming for a return to the Premier League with Town. The Reading man, who played for Fulham in the top flight earlier in his career, has joined the Blues until the end of the season.
Rosenior told the club site: "I know about the proud tradition of Ipswich and the history of the club and, with the manager here, it's obviously a very exciting time for Ipswich Town.
"The manager has made it clear what his ambitions are for Ipswich and that means a place back in the Premier League. It's a new venture for the football club and I'm delighted to be involved.
"It's certainly my goal, to get back in the Premiership, and I'm here to play my part in helping Ipswich have a good season. There are some very good players at this club and I think we have a great chance of doing well.
"I enjoyed my time at Reading but they have had to move players on and trim their wage bill and I have no problem with that. The two clubs are at different stages at the moment, although they have the same ambitions and, when I was told that Ipswich wanted me, the move appealed straight away.
"It's a big year for me and I'm looking forward to it at Ipswich. I want to play as many games as I can and do my best for the club and, like I said, I believe we've got a great chance of doing well here."

lets all get lovey dovey ! seriously though lets hope these can sort out our problems and get us moving in the right direction, wasn't looking forward to playing the scum next year
"I'm here to play my part in helping Ipswich have a good season" does make it sound like he's only here for the season, or thats how he sees it. The next match will be a good test for everyone, can't wait.
I read Roseniors first interview before this one and he originally wasnt keen on a permanant switch so decided on a loan move instead to keep his options open. I cant say I blame the lad-hopefully he will do well this season and if we get promoted or have a good season and are at least challenging near the top of the table come the end of the season then I have no doubt that he will sign next summer on a permanant deal.
Shame its international week, I am looking forwards to seeing our new players in action!
im really happy with the signings and the noises that they are making, i particulally like the noise about kenwyn jones coming too!!! (please watch above video and take as meant, tounge in cheek) i hope they settle quickly, and wish them every success in the blue and white of the towen, come on the towen!!!
Excellent signing as he will add pace and energy to our often sluggish defence. Maybe David Wright will have to switch to left back as we have tried every other person at left back with no joy!! Can Delaney come good?? RK must of seen something in him??
Yes Delaney can come good, as I mentioned on another post, he was recently selected for the Ireland team and has won caps under trappatoni so he cant be as bad as we have seen.
The Future bright ? The Future Blue and White Well done Keano and Clegg 3 very very good signings and a bit of cash splashed around , good old Marcus putting his money were his mouth is x
Excited by the new signings just hope we can get Woods in next week. As for Delaney well think with most of our supporters they can't see the forest because of the trees.
I've been negative about Keano on this site. I'm changing my ways. I've been asking for a return to traditional Ipswich style when I should be following it myself & backing RK 100% & giving him the time he deserves. I hope these signings work out. It's a lot of money.
