Pitch Inspection at 8.30am Saturday, 19th Dec 2009 08:28
Scunthorpe have announced that referee Andy Haines will hold a pitch inspection at Glanford Park at 8.30am. Temperatures overnight reached minus six and are still at the same level this morning.
The covers which have been on the pitch, areas of which are frozen, since Wednesday were only expected to be able to withstand temperatures down to minus four. Earlier in the week, Scunthorpe said that below that they expected some areas of the surface to be frozen and the game to be in doubt.
