Town boss Roy Keane watched the Blues’ reserves draw 0-0 with Brentford in a behind closed doors friendly at Playford Road this afternoon. Alex Bruce, Alan Quinn, Lee Martin, Ben Thatcher and Connor Wickham were amongst the Town players involved.

American trialist Devann Yao, whose signing is still being held up by red tape was also included in the side having recovered from his calf injury.

Keeper Brian Murphy wasn’t involved as he is not yet over his ankle injury. Former Blues glovesman Lewis Price was between the sticks for the Bees. The Wales international is on a season-long loan at Griffin Park.

Seems like there is a lot of love between Town and Brentford at the moment.

Hopefully nobody picked up an injury and Keane has a clearer idea on some of the above.

i hope this yao bloke is worth all the paperwork. I doubt it.

I cannot see how such an insignificant footballer who has plied his trade at a few minnows has such compo and legal issues attached to him.

why do all his ex clubs want a payoff ? Is this normal ?

There is always that belief that we will discover that uncut diamond for peanuts.

Surely a dream is not wrong is it?
