Priskin Again Linked With QPR
Priskin Again Linked With QPR

Striker Tamás Priskin is again being linked with a loan move to QPR, despite Roy Keane insisting that the Hungarian is staying at Portman Road on Friday. Priskin and former Blue Marcus Bent, who is currently with Birmingham, are claimed to be joining the west London club before Monday’s 5pm deadline.

On Friday, Keane confirmed that there had been interest in the £1.7 million summer signing from Watford but said that he would remain a Town player: “Tamás is going nowhere. He’s staying at the football club. I think the boy deserves a chance, I think the boy’s a talented player.”

Meanwhile, we understand that central defender Alex Bruce was at Leicester's 0-0 home draw with Newcastle on Saturday evening to complete the formalities of his loan move to the Foxes, as first revealed on TWTD yesterday.

Elsewhere, ex-Town defender Chris Casement has joined Linfield back in his native Northern Ireland on loan for the rest of the season from Dundee, who he moved to in the summer after being released by the Blues.

Hull City manager Phil Brown says reported Blues target Kevin Kilbane won’t be leaving the KC Stadium: "Any bid for Kevin is news to me. Kevin is a great asset to the football club at the moment, he's a great professional.

"A player of his temperament, his experience and his versatility to play in a number of positions is going to be invaluable to us between now and the end of the season."

Won't we be a bit limited in the striking department with Stern John going back to Palace and Priskin going to QPR?

Plus why are there no reports on here of Keane showing interest in Chopra as reported on other websites?

Anyway if Priskin does go I hope we get someone good to replace him.

Priskin can't finish his dinner. I'm all for letting players have a chance, but people lynched onto Parkin long before this point in the season, and he cost us about 1/4 of the price and scored 5 times that season having broken his ankle in February time!!

If the people who, on the walk to Preston station yesterday, I overheard claim Priskin is a better player than Counago see this, could they tell me who they'd have rather had on the end of the chance just inside the second half? Pabs would bury them every day of the week

I agree Counago would have finished that chance. Not sure he would have got in the position though as its impossible to tell. Priskin has been dreadful for us but credit where its due, I thought despite missing decent chances against WBA and against Preston, he had probably his two best perfomances in a town shirt and looked a little more interested. I thought Parkin was decent for us away from home. He was a tidy footballer in a struggling side. If Keane is able to get a proven striker in, I say let Tamas go and get games, if not, give him a run in the team for a few games with Stead. Priskin is only going to do well with a big guy next to him

Counago has also failed to deliver - so why is everyone picking on Priskin? Still, if he left on loan I wouldn't be too disappointed.

Don't think this is happening as Marcus Bent has signed on loan for QPR untill the end of the season.
