Supporters Club Events at Middlesbrough Game
Monday, 1st Feb 2010 11:30

The Official Supporters Club and ITFC are organising a day of supporters events around Saturday’s home game against Middlesbrough. The Supporters Club will be welcoming fans from branches from around the world and joining them for a number of social events which are open to all supporters.

Already, fans from branches in Sweden, Norway, Northern Ireland, the North of England, London, West Anglia and, of course, Suffolk have confirmed their attendance Prior to the game fans are invited to Meet The Chief Executive in the upstairs bar of Lloyds Tavern on Lloyds Avenue from 11.30am - 2.30pm. Simon Clegg will answer questions from supporters and may also bring along one or two surprise guests.

After the game, there will be Legends in Legends with special guests including Kevin Beattie, John Wark and Mel Henderson in the Legends Bar in the South Stand.

Beattie and Wark will give a professional's view of the match and then take part in the biggest ever Town book-signing. For the perfect Valentine’s gift for your loved one (or even for yourself), choose between The Greatest Footballer England Never Had - The Kevin Beattie Story, Wark On - The Autobiography of John Wark or Mr John: John Cobbold - The Most Eccentric Man in Football Ever. It promises to be a very popular event and Legends will be staying open until 7pm.

In the evening one group of fans is heading to Stowmarket for an evening of pubs and music, with another group staying in Ipswich for a quieter drink and a bite to eat. All the events are informal and all supporters are invited to attend.

Great idea, I wish a few more from Suffolk and North Essex would show as much support as our Scaniweigian friends.

Quieter drink and bite to eat I think not! Unless a kebab while drunk counts as a bite to eat
