Striker Tamás Priskin will not face the Blues with his new loan club QPR when the sides meet at Loftus Road next Tuesday, the west London club have confirmed. Rangers boss Mick Harford says he is pleased to sign the Hungarian having been targeting him for a number of weeks.

Harford said: "Tamás is a player we have been chasing for two or three weeks, and Roy Keane has thankfully let us have him.

"We actually thought we had him a couple of weeks ago but Roy kept him back and played him in the team, which shows that Roy has faith in him.

"Tamás has played quite regularly for Ipswich this season, so I was very surprised that we managed to get him in. We're thankful to have him, and we thank Ipswich for allowing him to come here.

"He is a very, very talented boy, has great technique and can create chances for himself. He's 6' 2", mobile and a good asset for us.

"He can hold up the ball, link the play and if we can get balls into the box, I'm sure we'll see a good return of goals."

Priskin added: "I'm here to score goals and I'm confident I will do that if I get a run of games in the side.

"I like to get on the ball and I believe I'm a good player, but I know there is room for improvement.

"I want to give everything I can to QPR. This is a crazy Championship - and if we can get a few wins, we can move right up the table."

Good. I had visions of us paying £1.7m only for him to score more goals against us than for us.

Its a shame they wont be playing him against us, it means they will be playing a stronger team.

Has Mick Harford been doing his homework? If so can we have Priskin back, he sounds great!!

All you doubters of Priskin, may get a surprise. If he gets some support up front, with runners from midfield, something he did not get with his limited games with town, he will score goals as he did for Watford.

Frustrating that we are sending players that could potentially play very well on loan to teams that could end up as rivals for us, position wise. Let's hope not though...

I actually hope it works out for him. I think he's a decent skillful player - but it simply hasn't worked for him here - yet.

Interesting that people have been moaning about Priskin, but our now moaning that Roy let him go!
