Midfielder Liam Trotter has extended his loan at Millwall until the end of the season. The 21-year-old has made four appearances for the Lions in this his second spell at the Den, scoring one goal.

Ipswich-born Trotter is out of contract with Town at the end of the season, having signed a one-year deal last summer.

Meanwhile, former loan keeper Asmir Begovic has joined Stoke City from Portsmouth for £3.25 million.

Good decision. Not needed. Experience will do him good.

Re Begovic - good luck to him - better than a Championship player. Hope it works out for him.

Not sure why everyone gets on Trotter's back - the kid is 21 years old - still has a lot to learn about the game but in time could be a good prospect.

Also ffs he is IPSWICH born - you cant get a more home grown player than this - I remember over the past 20 years when fans have been crying out to see 'home grown' players yet when they get them - a la Scowcroft, Richards and Trotter they think that the best way to support their team is to boo these players - madness I say

So anyway Liam - enjoy Millwall, and hopefully next term (if you get a deal) you can show some of these numpties that they don't know what they are talking about

yorkshire......I though Matt Richards was from Sawbridgeworth? And arrived at town through the Harlow football school set up by Town back in the 1990s, same route as Darren Ambrose.

WeWereZombies - by 'home grown' I just meant acadamy products - Richards was one of our lads as was Scowcroft and as is Trotter and yet their treatment (by some so called fans) was/is awful
