Deserved recognition, but why this week? Leadbitter has been brilliant just about every game.

That Team Of The Week thing is a load of rubbish, he's had much better games this season and NOT been in it!

No problems with that, but I reckon Colback was our best midfielder against Mboro

Blueknight 85

Leadbitter is a class performer but if you think his performance on Saturday was 'Team of the Week' material you are very shortsighted. He wasn't even our best player on the pitch, and this was not a standout game for him by any means. Hence my comment.

delaney..all valid points if u were picking him for man of the match
but this is team of the week.. did you see all the other CM in the league? they may have all been even worse
And i may be wrong but i believe the team of the week is based on the opta stats who ever they are called for example tackles made, passes complete % etc. feel free to check on that im going to wash the car before it hails rains or snows again lol

best midfielder I've seen play for town in my 7 years of being a season ticket holder, deserves recognition. Congrats, Grant!

I agree he has had better games this season but I think as ITFC supporters it should just be congratulatory comments on here, good to see one of our own being recognised for the quality has produced. Well done mate, keep up the good work especially tonight! COYB

Deserved. Got stuck in and deserves some credit.Of course the 100% negative posters will not wish to acknowledge a decent RK signing. A real shame, as Leadbitter is real class player.

As has been pointed out, it's based on their performances against other players of the same position so although he may have not been the best performing Town player on the day, he must have statistically performed better than other CMs. I personally was very impressed that we managed to bring him in, he's got Premiership quality.
