Stead Nets First For Coventry
Stead Nets First For Coventry
Saturday, 27th Feb 2010 17:45

On-loan striker Jon Stead netted the first goal of his loan spell at Coventry as the Sky Blues beat Scunthorpe 2-1 at the Ricoh Arena. Stead put his side in front in the 55th minute with a low shot from inside the area.

Elsewhere, Kevin Lisbie came on as a last minute sub as Colchester lost 3-2 at Bristol Rovers.

Midfielder Colin Healy was introduced as a 52nd minute sub as Falkirk lost 3-0 at Dundee United, while Liam Trotter played the full 90 minutes as Millwall beat Hartlepool 1-0.

Alex Bruce, who has so far made only one brief sub appearance for Leicester, was an unused sub as the Foxes beat Nottingham Forest 3-0, while Tamás Priskin wasn’t ready for a return to action with QPR after a groin problem.

Tommy Smith and Brentford got an unexpected afternoon off after their game against Tranmere was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Almost counts as a goal for us as it denies Scunny a point! Christ, that's over the top positivity isn't it?

Stead is only on loan so could be back, having said that I'd rather Murphy and Healy upfront, so far we've seen what positives they add and still without full match fitness.

maybe he will be back if he keeps scoring and he might just prove that keane and his tactics are the problem if he continues netting them .will be interesting to see how many he scores not under keane it will also let us know who was'nt performing for town stead or keane
