New Shirt Delivery Delayed
New Shirt Delivery Delayed
Wednesday, 21st Apr 2010 14:22

The delivery of Town’s new away shirt has been delayed by the air travel chaos caused by the Icelandic volcano. Pre-ordered shirts were expected to be available for collection on Saturday but won’t arrive on time.

Town's retail manager Elaine Hull told the club site: "Unfortunately that is not going to happen now.

"The shirts had been cleared by customs for air freight, but with the planes grounded because of the volcanic ash, it's not been possible to get them on a flight.

"The suppliers looked at alternative transport but have been told they have to wait until a flight becomes available, which means the shirts won't be with us this week.

"We will publish details of when the pre-order shirts are available for collection as soon as we have them."

Why would anyone want to wear a black and white shirt at a Newcastle away game? And it's not like the team would be wearing them either.

this away kit is almost as awful as the Green and Purple one we had back in the old first division and the Cream and Black one which followed......awful.....

Who designs these kits? We haven't had a really good kit since the early 80's.

If only we could attract adidas back - or someone who can actually design decent kits. The lower % in profit they would offer us would be far outweighed by literally everyone buying it. 78-85 were outstanding kits that were regularly voted the best in Europe.

Another nice gesture would be for ME to take his bloody massive name off the front. Its not as if he needs it. Have a look at arsenals home kit for next year as reference

Cant believe people pay 40 notes for our rubbish punch/mitre kits

I like the kit link andi...think my all time top 3 town shirts would be:

1- 2003/2005
2- 1999/2001
3- 1984/85

Let's be thankful that our kit designs aren't as unimaginative as Chelsea's & England's.
